Week 1 Is Set: Dee Has the Key. Mallory, Taylor, and Yash Are on the Block.
Big Brother: Unlocked confirmed Dee Valladares as Rachel's replacement and BB28's first HOH, and live feeds delivered the first nominations: Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel — with Mallory as the early named target.

Survivor didn't just visit Big Brother this summer. It moved in and took the key.
After weeks of third-seat rumors and a premiere that gave us Angela Murray and Rick Devens but left one chair conspicuously empty, Friday night's Big Brother: Unlocked closed the loop: Dee Valladares — Survivor 45 winner, subject of endless Survivor 50 and Challenge chatter — is the third returning player on BB28, stepping in as Rachel Reilly's replacement. And she didn't just enter the house. She won the first HOH, and by the time the feeds went live, the first block of the season was set.
This is the first real power-board recap of BB28. Here's everything we can put on the board — and everything we can't yet.
Unlocked: Dee Is In, and Then Dee Is HOH
The episode picked up where the premiere left off, with Dee entering the game from the Survivor side of the crossover. Devens wasted no time setting the stakes in the Diary Room, calling Dee the greatest modern Survivor winner — which is either respect or an early resume read, depending on how you watch Devens.
The Unlocked panel — Derrick Levasseur, Taylor Hale, and Jerry O'Connell, with Rachel Reilly joining — handled the reveal and the framing. Jerry confirmed the HOH competition would run that night, with live feeds launching immediately after the episode. The panel also introduced the America Time Capsule vote, a weekly viewer decision that hands out a power or punishment pulled from Big Brother's past. We'll track that when it starts mattering; for now it's a mechanic on the shelf.
The HOH itself was a fire/stacking-style competition featuring the three returnees — Dee, Devens, and Angela. Dee won. First night in the house, first key of the season. That's the TV record.
The Block: Mallory, Taylor, Yash
Then the feeds came on, and the nominations were already done.
Nominated for eviction, Week 1: Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel.
To be clear about sourcing: the nominations were confirmed on the live feeds, not in a broadcast ceremony. Big Brother Network logged the same three names. The board and the receipts match, so we're treating this as settled — but the TV version of the ceremony is still to come.
And the feeds gave us more than names. Per houseguest conversations after feeds launch, Mallory is the target — the boot Dee intends to socialize to the house.
Early Feed Texture (Labeled Accordingly)
Everything in this section is feed talk from night one. It's real, it's sourced, and it can change by Sunday. Treat it as texture, not gospel.
- Dee is stressed. Taylor relayed that Dee wasn't loving the HOH seat this early, and described the nomination logic as one from each group — spreading the block across social clusters rather than gutting one side of the house.
- Taylor pushed back on her spot. She wondered aloud why she was nominated over Drew, Barrett, or Ashley. Dee's answer, per the feeds: if Taylor wins HOH, she can put Dee up. Taylor's counter is that she's one of Dee's eight — her phrasing, and worth remembering when numbers talk gets formal.
- Renom chatter already exists. In an HOH room conversation with Kamu, Dee said the goal is to keep nominations the same if possible. If the veto gets used, Melody's name came up as the backup renom. Dee framed Mallory as the "easy" option — the best available first boot.
- Mallory knows. She was crying with Angela, who told her the whole house has her back. That's comfort, not a safety commitment. Angela consoling a nominee in week one is a scene, not a vote count.
- Early majority talk is floating on social — names like Angela, Barrett, Devens, Drew, Dee, Kamu, Haley, and Chuk getting grouped together. We are explicitly labeling this early talk, not a locked alliance. Nobody has named this group on the feeds in a way we'd put on the board. When they name it, we'll chart it.
What's on the PocketBB Board Now
The power board and cast board are finally in sync with an actual game:
- Dee Valladares: HOH 🔑 — added to the cast board as the third returnee, joining Angela and Devens from the premiere.
- Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, Yash Patel: nominated 🎯
- Everyone else: ✅
What we are not putting on the board: a veto winner, a renom, a Blockbuster result, or an eviction prediction. None of that has happened. The Melody renom talk is logged as chatter, nothing more. Whatever twist machinery BB28 has waiting — including that Time Capsule vote — sits between here and Thursday.
Week one targets have a way of surviving week one. Ask anyone who's watched a "easy boot" win a veto. Mallory is the target today. The board updates when the game does.
