The season in 60 seconds

Start with the spine.

BB4's feed story is an old-school strategy season disguised as an exes twist. The Ex-Factor creates the immediate mess, but the archive's real spine is people trying to survive unstable structures: the Nasty Nine, the Original Eight, Dana's HOH flip, and the Dream Team/Stooges. Jun's winner path is the clearest thread through it. She reads the first-night alliance map, stays useful during Dana's power rupture, lets Alison and bigger blocs absorb heat, uses Jee/Robert/Justin as both danger and cover, then turns mutual jury damage with Alison into the safest final two. It is messy, personal, and much more strategic than the season's reputation sometimes suggests.

Winner path

Jun's win as receipt days.

The winner story gets a spine: the early heat, the vote math, the endgame door, and the final decision, with drawer links where the archive has a loud-day case file.

01 / Opening read

Jun starts by reading the exes and the numbers

Jul 8

2 receipts

Night one already shows Jun talking alliance order, target logic, and how useful the first HOH can be.

Her winner path starts with observation, not invisibility. She knows the house is unstable and starts storing the map.

6:03-6:12pm: Feed 3: Alliance talk Jun and Jack are talking about alliances while Jun is doing her nails in hte kitchen. Jack is saying that there was a six-person alliance last year, but it fell apart quickly. Chatter about Nathan keeping alliance together. There is a lot of whispering, so it is difficult to hear. Jack: Order, starting with Amanda, then Justin and Robert. (One of these guys p*sses Jun off because he is a player, pretending he is only there for the experience.) Jun: First HOH is the best one. Not everyone will be frantic about this. It will be much tougher later. (mumbly) Jack: has kids, one 19 and one 21. Has daughters, raising them is so much fun. Everyone should have a daughter, he says. Jun: want a family sooner than later; people think she is a party-girl, but that is because she is single. It doesn't mean that she doesn't want to settle down. Someone comes in. Jack tells this guy that as far as they know, the alliance is strong. It is Nathan. Scott is there, too. They all feel "strong" about the alliance. Scott: I thought we were all 8-strong. Jun: It is hard because we are not all here (she gestures to outside). Erika walks in. Jack: Just because we are in separate bedrooms it doesn't mean we can't check in with one another. Scott: We're here to have a good time, but we are here to compete. If we stick to the plan, we can guarantee we get further (paraphrasing). They scatter.

Its fine if it holds together, it will be something that has never happened in here Jun: (too low) Ja: that's a good point, I think Amanda is a heck of a player right now, the order if we could pull it out is starting with Amanda, then Justin then Robert Jun: yeah Justin isn't well you know hes like I'm just here for experience with just pisses me off Ja: would you rather him go first Jun: I think best one to use is Jee then get rid of Amanda, but shes so sweet. Jun: 1st HOH is best one as its less personal Ja: definatally it only gets worse later Ja: so you don't mind if he goes with Amanda Jun: yeah,...

02 / Survive the flip

Jun becomes the translator in Dana's HOH chaos

Dana's HOH puts Jun in the middle of every explanation, denial, and side switch.

Jun survives the first true power rupture because she is useful to the person in power without fully owning the move.

In the yard, Erika, Jack and Nat are talking. Erika is on to the fact that Jun is consigliari to Dana. Jack counsels caution and not saying too much that you can be caught up on. They talk about the competition and getting the button pushed first. Then you can pause to collect your thoughts. (there was a lot of that tonight). Erika sees Ratbert come out of the HOH and says that she has to go do damage control. I can't see the HOH door, but Dana is coming out for a drink and lets Erika go in and says don't say a word, I'll be back. Dana gets her drink and sticks her head into the yard to say something. On her way back to the HOH, she speaks to Ratbert (who had said something about Erika being in there with her alone). She confirms that Jun will be in on everything and uses the consigliari label and says, "isn't this the coolest HOH ever?" It appears that Erika stays in the HOH with Jun, but Dana says to wait, that she has to go talk to some 'she' alone for a bit. Justin is in the back bedroom talking to Ali and explaining what his plan is - to tell the truth about everything. Ali says that is not the way to play. They talk about lying and Justin says that he doesn't lie but she has lied to him. They agree that the 2 most innocent people in the house have been evicted. She asks for a lie and he says that she told him that she would back him to the end and she didn't. Ali thinks that Dana hates her because she is his Ex and she wants him. He rambles on about not seeing her much except at night. Ali gets upset because he doesn't respect her when he rubs up on another woman in her bedroom. Do it, but don't do it in front of me. Mutual accusations of "you're stupid." There is some game stuff in here indirectly, but this is mostly Ex stuff and hard feelings.

Alone in the HOH after Jee leaves, Jun pulls Dana inside and says, "Justin and Ratbert are playing Jee,." She explains that Justin and Ratbert lied to them about the side deals with Jack and Dave and that is why she asked what Justin defined as lying. She says that she asked them both the same question twice to make sure that there was no mistake. Jun also thinks that Jee was lying about something because she can read him and when he starts swearing and rambling like that he is lying. The lie was about putting Dana up for eviction on the veto or next week. Jun is essentially saying that Jee should be included in the sub alliance between Jun and Dana. They are going to call Nat in next because he can't keep his stories straight. Dana takes a w/c break and Jun announces that they are going to be at it till Dana is done. She laments that they are going to lose the food comp tomorrow because they will be up all night. I have already been up all night, and I'm not afraid of Dana, so I'm going to bed. I hope that this doesn't put a target on my back.

Girl talk Dana telling Ali it has to get selfish at some point. She can't trust anything about anyone, and that is what she has to consider right now. Said EVERYONE except Jun is up for grabs, because she's the person who least lied to her. She said she has to be a cold-hearted b*tch right now, the same everyone was to Michelle. She's looking at everyone on an individual level at this point. She says she needs a nap right now. She said she didn't mean to wake them up, she just came in to talk. 7 remaining people in the house-if she makes it that far-will be the people voting. So individual level-how much they trust her, have lied to her, who would vote for her, etc... She needs to think about it NOW because she needs to get some sleep. She's starting to wish she hadn't won. Dana says she unfortunately she can't think that the group will do anything for her. It's time for her to be selfish. She'd rather be true to herself. If they come after, they come after her. As long as she can look at herself, and say she played the best she did. She tells Erika she can't put her life in the game in 6 people's hands. Erika says yesterday put the perspective on the strength of an alliance. It was a leap of faith. Ali asked if she wasn't going to stick with the alliance, why did you vote with us. Dana said it was so sudden, she felt like she had to. She felt nobody was with her, and also she DID want to be with the group at that time. However, she will not feel bad about breaking the alliance, because this IS A GAME. It's not about who's going to make the best alliance. Erika asks wouldn't she rather get further. She says she'll know what Dana will do what she wants to do. Erika says, but I've had a little more sleep, and have a better grasp. Asks Jun what she thinks....

Nate and Jun in orange room Nate is trying to justify to Jun why he used the veto on Ali. He says he felt that he was basically alone and that he couldn't trust Erika and Jack at the time and that he had to veto Ali for himself so he had someone. Jun was trying to explain to him why it made Dana so mad was because they didn't want to see David go yet even though he was a strong competitor. Nathan asked why not go after Jack then and Jun said that David was a stronger competitor than Jack so he needed to go.

Tells Nat that Erica would put up Justin next week if she gets HOH. Repeating most all of what she and Erica talked about in the bath. Erica played dumb about what Jack might do. Nat doesn't trust Justin and Robert. Dana comes in and the story gets repeated. Nat fears that their strategy is down the drain because of Ex's getting too close to each other. Fear Scott will vote to keep Amanda and may tell of the plot. (is there a similar fear from Robert?). Nat questions Dana because of her interest in an EX. Dana brushes that off with a don't worry about it. They are really worried about Scott and can't figure him. Particular afraid of him getting the POV and saving Amanda. Questioning and discussing who to put up if Amanda is saved. Nat insists that Jee is safe, so that's a problem of who to put up. Jun comes in and whines about Jee, I think then leaves. They think that Erica and Jack will vote against Scott next week. They want Justin to get HOH next week, it seems. Hope he will understand to put up Scott and Erica and Erica stays. Time out.

Kitchen Table Banter Loose talking and lauging by Dana, David, Scott, Robert and whoever else is sitting there. They are talking about Mr Hanky (South Park??) and imitating some high pitched voice and we go to FOTH. Cameras still lingering on Michelle's face. She's not a big talker, just sipping and pouting and eyeballing everyone. Is she really smart and hiding it? Amanda is talking about her DR conversation. They told her she can give shout outs in the DR, but if she does it out of the DR it will get blocked from the live feeds. I guess they can't directly address the folks at home? Someone is imitating the Afflac duck, and we get a quick FOTH until it stops. Scott has covered his dome with a knit cap. Everyone is just waiting for something to happen, and probably stressing about what the veto will mean. Michelle has just spoken "i like grapefruit juice better. i'm not a big apple juice fan." Scott is dispensing his wise waiter knowledge now, advising everyone to take vitamins, and discussing his diet of cantalopes and other fruits. David tells a story about an army nurse taking 5 vials of blood from him and making a mess with his veins. He wasn't happy with the experience.

That's what scares him about Dana too, that if she gets nominated, she'll do anything and rat out everybody. Nate still can't get over how they blew it tonite. They were proud of Michelle. More Dana trashing. She yelled at Alison. She said something to Nate he didn't like. Nate suggests him talking to Jee and warning him about not getting close to Dana. They agree the bright side is that Jee is better than Robert or Justin. Jack says they have to figure out a way to get it to work for them. Alison goes to bed, Nate goes over to talk with David & Robert at hot tub. David is in it. Robert, hanging around side. He asks them what they think about everything. Jack comes over too. Chit chat. Nate, Alison and Dana talk about another alliance that concerns them. Justin's the brain, Robert's the smooth talker and Jee's the decoy. He seems to be coming around to the idea that they may be the larger threat. Fortunately, they are all Ex's, so going after them is still part of the Original 8 goal and they can keep from exposing themselves too soon. Robert (I think, I mistake his voice for Justin sometimes, and I can't see him) comes in to push the idea of putting up Jack next week and he would be gone in a heart beat. Nat asks against who and who would vote against him. Robert (I think) says against Jee and that everybody would vote against Jack. The implication her is that Nat and crew are working with Robert and Justin. Alison and Jun were listening at the door for a bit before knocking and joining the group in the HOH. Interesting. Yes, it is Robert the smooth talker that is in there to do the plotting. Robert presses for who is next. Obviously, says Robert, Erica is next - against Jack. He says that they don't have time for decoys.

They were placating him and being nice to him while scott was (truthfully) playing the polite card. Michelle admits she was truthfully scared of him Allison says "I cant wait to watch this on tv and see jun running in here with a handfull of knives" the point is they thought they should hide the knives because of scott being a threat. they all laugh Talk of Amanda now and how she is gone. they question David and how he hangs out with him. Jun slings mud at david's motivations and how he treats people at times. They laugh that they dont have to share a bed with Amanda any more and say they will have to wash the sheets first. They act as if scotts and amandas beds are infected or something. very high school. nathan is reminded that the hoh bed is not "his" bed. Scott and Jun have a little spat (I missed some of it and it was several minutes ago, but I'll do my best) Scott tried to talk to Jun about the "coldness" he'd been sensing from her. He asked if he'd sone anything to offend. She said something about him being "too on" all the time and that she just had to spend time away from him. He answers, "Time away? We never spend time together!" Jun: "And whose fault is that?" Scott sees the irony in that (as do I) and calls her pathetic. They walk away from each other. Scott goes out and fills Amanda in on the fight. Ali joins them in the roll of peacemaker. Scott says he doesn't know why Jun is so cold. he dosn't know what he's done. Ali says she'll talk to Jun and leaves. Then David ties a towel around his neck and runs around the yard like a lunatic while Amanda and Scott laugh. After he calms down, there are severla minutes of small talk before Ali comes back and tells Scott that Jun doesn't want to talk. Scott says he still doesn't understand the hostility...maybe she's projecting. Ali says it will all blow over in the morning. Feed switches to Robert and Justin in the kitchen. Boring...posting.

Dana seems ansy to get into the HOH room and Jun tells her that they are just trying to get it ready... Jun points out that Dana has not won two competitions. To which Dana replies, "That's right, I'm a big ole threat." Dana just told Justin that she might have a spot for him! They are talking in the blue room. Dana tells Justin that she was trying to tell him. Dana says there is a new B*tch in town and she doesn't play all the secret games. Dana knows that she will get sequestered if she goes now, and that was her first goal. Jun leaves. Dana whispering telling Justin that she had to do it. She says that now there is no majority in the house now, there can be, but there isn't. She says they will "talk" later. Then they day they will talk while they massage and Justin tells Dana that she owes him. Jee comes in and disrupts that conversation. Dana again says that she doesn't care now because she'll get sequestered. Justin asks when this decision was made and Dana tells him it was right before the vote. Jee saying that he gave it his best to secure Michelle. Now lots of loud joking about how surprised they all were at the vote. Rob, Jee, Jun all in the coversation.

Ali says they had just gotten back together (before the show), and Nate says he would never have "hooked up" with her if he had known. Ali says, "Nathan, you kissed me like twice. At about 2:00 BB time, Rat and Justin were telling Ali all the bad things Nate supposedly said about her, like he regrets using the veto, and they told her he regrets ever meeting her, and if he never saw her again, that would be too soon. She laughs it off, and sort of freaks out, then said she doesn't care, because of the way she talked about Nate in the HOH room to Julie (about how she got him to use the veto, and now he can go on his merry way, etc.). Stooges (minus Jee) also said Ali is snakier than Jun. I think Jun heard this, because out of nowhere she started really trashing Nate. She said she is going to send a period-blood tampon with Justin to give to Nate, and that she wanted to write "FAG" on a pad with her period blood to let Justin take with him to give to Nate. Just a lot of bad-mouthing of Nate. The stooges say that he didn't understand it was a game, referring to the things he said about Ali. (I believe this started with Ali telling Justin to say "hi" to Nate in sequester). Now she is still angry, but hiding it, and "not caring" what he said about her. This took place in the bathroom, and they moved to the LR to continue this convo and others...

Jun mentions how impressed she was with Nathan confronting Scott during the pow wow after it happen (remember Robert explaining his actions?) Nathan said something like "You always say your sorry. Your scaring the women and that's not acceptable." She didn't expect him to bold enough to stand up to Scott. Then she relates that the DR asked her to educate Alison and Michelle when they freaked out about possibly contracting Scott's genital warts. The DR told Jun "you a little older and more educated, could you please reassure the others that they're fine?" She agrees to do so. She jokes (I think) with Erika and Rob that she came back to them and screamed "Oh my god your totally going to get it!" In the a chat between Jun and Ali, Ali proposed a deal that if she didn't nominate Jun this week, Jun wouldn't nominate Ali if she became HOH. Jun questioned if that was just for one week (Yes) and then asked if Ali meant that Jun could not nominate both Nat and Ali, or just Ali. Ali agreed that the deal was just for her, and implied that she wouldn't be upset if Jun felt she had to nominate Nat; she almost seemed to encourage it. Jun accepted the deal. So, Ali proposed a deal between her and Jun, but Jun filled in the details re Nat and the duration of the deal. Jun has the right to nominate Nat, but did not commit that she would do so. The deal costs Jun nothing in that it is only a limit on her if she wins HOH next week (which she has no intention of doing), but it gets her off the hook this week and tells her that Ali is willing to sacrifice Nat. Jun wins on the exchange, but, at no point did I hear Ali say that she would not nominate Jun this week. The deal only takes effect ~IF~ Ali doesn't nominate Jun this week.

The Stooges in Shock after the show.... 3 stooges out on back patio, saying how they were so duped and laughing about it. Justin and Rob mostly. Jee is quieter. They keep telling the other HGs how they were fooled. The other HGs don't really acknowledge these statements, they just ask questions about the HOH comp. questions. Ali is wearing Michelle's dress. They figure she'll have to put it in the DR for BB to give to Michelle. Rob and Justin laugh again about how they were fooled. Justin says if anyone acts differently toward him, he'll be mad. He's not taking anything personal, it's just the game. Quiet. Robert and Justin seem to think they will be the next two nominated. They will have food in about 2 hours. Dana says she isn't Hungry. Nate has the shakes from lack of food.

Jun says to Ali in a whisper, "I have a really, really, really good feeling that . . . " (didn't catch it, but it was about Jee or Justin I think. Could she be thinking that Jee is going?). Later there was a reference to winning the HOH comp. and the fact that if it requires mental ability there is no chance that she could win (I presume she meant Michelle) Dana joins them and after a while, she says that she is going to win every POV in this house. You can save yourself or change the noms. It can make you Superman. HOH is the worst position in the house (because it makes you a target). All said with Dana's typical bravado.

Dave, Erika & Jack in the Sand Box. Jack whispers to Erika and Dave that the Stooges were planning to put up Dana and Ali and get rid of Dana. They think that Nat is playing a stupid game and is not a threat. But, tomorrow they will know that they (Jack and Dave) are not with them. The cover story that J & D can use is that they had a one time commitment to not vote for Erika and that they are still with the Stooges. They only need the cover story it one of the Stooges gets HOH tomorrow. The flaw is that the won't have time before the HOH comp to tell them this, and it will be suspicious after they win. Now rethinking the original Nom of Amanda and that they should have gone after someone else or have changed things to get rid of Jee. The Stooges are very suspicious of Ali because she has been lying to them. Dave pipes in for the first time to say that he doesn't think there is anything they can say to the Stooges to get off the hook with them (right on, and Jack should have realized that). Dave suggests that they say that they believed that Erika would go unanimously and that their 2 votes out of loyalty wouldn't matter. Dave is planning to take the lead on that story with them. Jack repeats the story he will spread that Erika saved his ass so that they will stop concentrating on her. They seem to be getting overconfident that the other side lacks motivation (Jee just wants to go home, Justin wants to go to sequester, and Robert misses his daughter). Jack says that he has passed this story by Nat and he is fine with it. Nat will tell the same story that he had a deal with Erika. Erika points out that they are going to say, gee, Erika has a lot of deals. They laugh that she must be trading sexual favours...

Jee is alone with Ratbert in the HOH while he unpacks. Ratbert seems very happy sitting in the chair in the corner smacking his lips on something he is drinking and sniffing like a coke addict. Jee says, "I have to be the freaking host. I don't like doing that kind of stuff." Ratbert says that he has Jee's back and thinks things are good, but they have little else to say for a while. (Ratbert is strangely calm and is sadly being restrained and not overplaying his hand) Jee is concerned about making enemies (with his Noms), but Ratbert reassures him that he is in a good position because "once they're gone, they're gone" (conveniently forgetting that they can only evict one person a week) He seems to think that it is better to do it now than like in week 5, because it's more serious then. He says that they will have to hold a meeting later in the week (I assume with Justin and him to plan the campaign) Feeds and sound change again.

If you decide not to put nate up, you say I won't put you up, but if you get HoH you don't put us up. Da doesn' t trust Nate to keep word tho. Now it looks like Jun, Justin, Ratbert, Jee and Dana.

Nat & Alison talk in the HOH with the lights out. She reports that Jack has said stuff to Erica about Dana getting too close with the Ex's. Time out.

mudslinging and women throwing themselves at nathan again allison, michelle, nathan, jun, and dana are in the LR talking about scott. beating the proverbial horse. Now they start talking about him moving into the "general population" and they are talking about sharing nights with nathan in beds... all four ladies saying that nathan has to give them all equal bed time. i will post this now, as i think i need to go vomit.

The Sh** May Hit the Fan David, Nate, and Robert talk on the Basketball court. Michelle, another non-eater, is also there, bouncing the ball but not talking. Dave is discussing using his POV. Because Dana isn't there at the moment, they are all piling on and saying they want her out immediately. Even Robert wants Dana out. His only stipulation is that Erica goes next, because he "doesn't want to get sequestered with the bitch". Dave plans to talk to Jee about it. They are discussing POV'ing Erica instead of Michelle. Now Justin joins the group and says Jee is worried that if things don't go right, both Erica and Dana will come after him. Jee wants to keep things as they are. Jee wants to keep the HG that will be most likely not to nominate him if they win next week. They all think that if Dana is on the block, she is out of there. Nate says he didn't even speak 5 words to her today, so he doesn't know what she is thinking. Robert tells them that Erica is pure evil and she will "kill your fuc'in family, I swear". Nate doesn't think Erica will ever win HOH, since Dana is more agile and athletic. And now Dana the conversation-killer returns after her shower, ready to rumble.

Jun/Erika/Robert in the LR: They discuss the Scott incident Jun talks about how they were worried about Scott when he got into a tiff with Jun the day before his expulsion. They were going to complain about him earlier, but decided to hold off until another outburst occured. And low and behold, he went nuts and started throwing the chairs. She jokes (I think) with Erika and Rob that she came back to them and screamed "Oh my god your totally going to get it!" ( Lots of Laughing at this comment) All agreed it was riduculous that those young girls burst into tears immediately after Scott revealed his disease.

Jee, rob tell jus their convo with ali earlier When I came back to feeds they are talking about ali's story about jus e mailing ali the nude mouse photo(see earlier post if you haven't read it).. I hear jus saying no, wasn't that bad(says something else) and then he says, her mother saw it(as though it wasn't a naughty picture) Then they are talking about jus drunk in the socks and getting in bed with his roommate.. He says, no it was only about 10 minutes(he was in bed) and his roommate says what the F are you doing or something to that effect. Jee, rob say no, ali says it was several hours and all of a sudden you come running back to your bed..Jus looks a little embarrased and not argueing his case TOO much (I am missing alot of conversation though because of noise of HT and no Mic's, so he maybe arguing his case more ) [I have stayed up so late just for this conversation to happen, and of course as soon as I have to leave comp. for 5 or 10 minutes, that is when the convo happens..I think I missed alot of this convo and came in at the last of it...)If anyone else heard this convo, please post.. They pretty much change the subject at this point I think.

Nothing here is invented. Every claim points back to the receipt ledger.

Every claim links to a receipt.

Here, a receipt is a timestamped Jokers Updates row with a source link. Rows marked TV reflect episode coverage; the rest are live-feed observations. The source dataset is Jokers Updates static live-feed archive imported into local SQLite. Tags are generated from receipt text, and the local database stays local while the site ships small static JSON exports. The original forum links are kept as provenance; the readable receipt text lives here so the archive still works if a source page requires access.
