Mallory Uses the Veto. Ashley Is the Renom.

Mallory used the Power of Veto on herself, prompting HOH Dee Valladares to nominate Ashley Trail as the replacement, setting the Blockbuster noms as Ashley, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel. This outcome was widely expected and consistently discussed in the house leading up to the ceremony. Mallory secured her safety cleanly this week by refusing an easy eviction deal and winning veto. Post-ceremony, Dee and Drew conspired over next moves, with Drew advising Dee to target Kamu based on his intel and Mallory's stated preference for nominating Kamu, Chuk, and Rome if given power. Jason claims control over Angela but secretly gunning for Devens, creating tension. The Blockbuster competition

Mallory Uses the Veto. Ashley Is the Renom.

Monday, July 13. Mallory Aurichio walked into the veto ceremony with the medal and walked out with her safety — she used the Power of Veto on herself, and Dee Valladares named Ashley Trail as the replacement nominee. The Blockbuster field is set: Ashley, Taylor Brown, Yash Patel.

If you've been reading the last three notes, nothing here surprises you. The house spent Sunday night and Monday morning saying "Ashley" out loud in every corner of the house. Today the board caught up.

The board now

  • HOH: Dee Valladares 🔑
  • Veto: Mallory Aurichio 🏅 — used on herself
  • Nominees: Ashley Trail, Taylor Brown, Yash Patel 🎯
  • Evicted: none yet

State event, verbatim: "Mallory used the veto on herself. Dee nominated Ashley as the replacement nominee. Ashley, Taylor, and Yash are the final Block Buster field."

Pre-ceremony: the Ashley story was already sold

The morning feeds were basically a dress rehearsal for the board update.

At 11:07 AM, Dee gave the cams her mission statement before heading down for the pre-ceremony mingle: "Alright, I should head downstairs and be fake. Let's go be fake." HOH honesty, one camera at a time.

At 11:41 AM, Kamu pulled Dee into storage with a simple message: everyone in the house already believes Ashley is going up — keep it that way. No new pitch, no pivot, just don't break the consensus.

At 11:45 AM, Rome was running the odds for a nervous Lyric: 70% Ashley, 20% Haley, 5% anyone else. His advice: stop worrying about being the pick. Rome's book turned out to be sharp — the favorite came in.

And at 12:04 PM, Drew found Yash for a pep talk. Yash admitted the block takes the fun out of the house, and he's worried about the classic script: competitive guy loses Blockbuster, competitive guy goes home. Drew's read was that Blockbuster is functionally a 1v1 between Yash and Taylor, because the renom (Ashley) wouldn't be a competition threat. Yash's answer: he's "locked in."

Blackout, then receipt

Feeds cut around midday for the ceremony and stayed down until about 2:06 PM. We don't have ceremony footage or speeches — anyone quoting Dee's renom speech is making it up. What we have is the board, and the board says: Mallory self-save, Ashley up, final noms Ashley/Taylor/Yash.

Mallory's arc this week is complete — refused the easy-boot deal, won the veto anyway, and pulled herself down without owing anyone. Clean week for her, whatever else you think of her game.

Feeds return: Dee and Drew are already playing next week

The first meaningful post-ceremony content was a Drew/Dee HOH session (~2:06–2:14 PM) that read like a whiteboard for the rest of the season:

  • The "cool kids club." Drew tagged Rome and Kamu as a unit, and said flat out he doesn't trust Kamu at all.
  • Jason intel. Drew says Jason is gunning for Devens, and that Jason believes he has full control over Angela.
  • Mallory's hit list. Drew relayed that Mallory said she'd nominate Kamu, Chuk, and Rome if she gets power. Dee's skeptical: would Mallory really do that to Lyric?
  • Haley. Dee doesn't like her — pot-stirrer. Drew agreed.
  • LaLa. Drew's not a fan either (a bikini-and-heels comment did it, apparently).
  • The offer. Dee told Drew straight: if he wants Kamu gone, just tell her — "he's gone." She said she took Drew's advice this week and really trusts him. Drew's coaching note back: be more social when you're not HOH.

That's a genuine two-person operating agreement forming on feeds, even if nothing's named or locked on the board. Dee handing Drew veto power over her target list is the biggest strategic development of the afternoon — bigger than the renom itself, honestly, since the renom was priced in days ago.

Jason's Angela problem

Meanwhile in the gym, Jason was doing damage control before there's any damage. He told Rome and LaTrice that Angela treats him like her baby and LaTrice like a sister — and warned them that Angela may eventually come to them with a story that Jason is working against them. Pre-bunking: it's not true, he says, and he's loyal to LaTrice and Rome.

Cross-reference that with Drew telling Dee that Jason thinks he has full control over Angela, and you get a picture of Jason playing a confident middle game — managed relationships on one side, managed optics on the other. Whether both sides keep buying it is next week's problem.

What's open

Everything that matters. Ashley, Taylor, and Yash face the Blockbuster — one saves themselves, two face eviction. No result yet, no eviction, no winner. Drew's read (Yash vs. Taylor in a footrace, Ashley along for the ride) is a live-feed opinion, not a spoiler. Ashley's campaign work from last night just got a lot more urgent.
