Evening Update: Ashley Campaigns. Dee Still Points at Yash.

Sunday saw intense renom campaigning as Mallory's veto win forced a replacement nominee Monday. Ashley emerged as the primary renom candidate, actively campaigning across the house after learning her name was floated. While HOH Dee insisted Ashley is not the target and that Yash is the eviction priority, Dee also coached Ashley on survival tactics, signaling uncertainty. Dee floated Barrett's name but privately ruled him out. House members mostly expect Ashley or Barrett as the renom, with votes leaning toward evicting Yash. Haley's push to nominate LaLa backfired. Alliances and manipulations continue shaping the volatile Monday nominations and eviction plans.

Evening Update: Ashley Campaigns. Dee Still Points at Yash.

Sunday, July 12 was renom campaign day, and the house treated it like one. Mallory's veto win Saturday means somebody's coming down Monday, and by mid-afternoon the whole house had settled on a name for who might replace her: Ashley Trail. Ashley heard it too β€” and instead of waiting for the ceremony, she spent the back half of the day campaigning room to room. Nothing is locked. The ceremony is Monday. But the shape of Dee's week got a lot clearer on the feeds today.

The board (unchanged)

  • HOH: Dee Valladares πŸ”‘
  • Veto: Mallory Aurichio πŸ…
  • Nominees: Mallory, Taylor Brown, Yash Patel 🎯
  • Veto ceremony: Monday. Nobody is off the block yet, and no renom is official.

If you missed the overnight math β€” the Ashley-vs-Melody debate and Dee's early lean toward keeping Taylor over Yash β€” catch up with the morning renom note. Today moved that story from whiteboard to hallway: Ashley stopped being a hypothetical and started working the house.

Ashley goes upstairs

The pivotal feed block was Ashley's HOH sit-down with Dee, roughly 3:06–3:39 PM. Minutes before it, Taylor told Jason she was heading up to tell Dee to nominate Ashley β€” so the pressure on Dee was live and coming from a current nominee.

Inside HOH, Ashley laid it out: people are saying her name for the renom. Dee's response, per feeds: Ashley is not the target β€” the target is Yash. Ashley asked the question every potential renom asks: did anyone use the word "pawn"? Dee said no. Ashley read that as worse β€” if nobody's calling her a pawn, then the people pushing her name actually want her out.

Dee didn't commit either way. She said she's considering others, but β€” and that "but" hung there β€” she counseled Ashley on how to campaign if it happens: against Barrett, or against Taylor/Yash. Ashley made her counter-pitch: don't put me up at all. She's had a hard time making connections, which means she has no votes if she lands next to anyone the house is comfortable with.

That's the frame for everything after: Dee telling a possible renom "you're not the target" while simultaneously coaching her on how to survive the block. Classic HOH hedge, and Ashley clocked it.

The campaign loop β€” and Barrett's two versions of the truth

From about 3:53 PM on, Ashley worked the house. She debriefed Melody on the HOH chat and got campaign advice; Melody's position is layered β€” she's already told Taylor she'd vote for Taylor over Yash, but an Ashley-vs-Taylor block is "different." Ashley then told the house openly she's likely the renom, and to Kamu she got specific: Dee said the replacement is Ashley or Barrett. Kamu was warm β€” likes Ashley, doesn't want her out, there's still time before tomorrow β€” and added that the boys aren't as tight as Ashley thinks.

Then the feeds gave us the double-talk, timestamped. Around 4:30 PM, Dee and Barrett debriefed: Taylor and Chuk have both heard the Ashley-renom chatter, Rome is the lone Yash defender, and Barrett wants Ashley or Yash out β€” Dee agreed. And here's the receipt: Dee admitted she told Ashley the renom is "Barrett or Ashley," then reassured Barrett she'd never actually put him up. Barrett's name is in the renom conversation as scenery, not as a real option.

By 4:37 PM they were counting votes for a Yash eviction and liked their number β€” enough to get him out, with Rome as the only pro-Yash vote on the board. (Also on feeds: a distinctly flirty energy in that Dee/Barrett session. Noted for the record.)

Everyone else has a pitch

  • Taylor was the most direct: she told Jason she was going up to push "nominate Ashley," and separately (2:47 PM, with Drew, Angela, and Devens) said that if Dee "does it right," Ashley goes up. The house consensus in that convo: it's Barrett or Ashley.
  • Haley went the other way. At 5:22 PM she pitched Dee on replacing Mallory with someone from her own team β€” floating LaLa β€” arguing Yash wins Blockbuster and that Ashley should not be nominated. Choices as Haley framed them: Ashley, Barrett, or LaLa.
  • Melody's name is still floating in the background from the overnight math, and Devens relayed (2:54 PM) that Kamu wants Melody out β€” to which Angela offered the veteran's rule: never say who you want out.
  • Chuk told Ashley he'd campaign for her to stay and wants her as a fourth with him and Haley. Though by 7:22 PM he and Kamu were mocking Ashley for not offering Dee an alternate renom name β€” support with an asterisk.

Angela and Dee take inventory

The evening's real content came from an Angela/Dee bathroom session, roughly 7:46–8:18 PM. Dee vented that Haley came in twice pushing the LaLa idea and that she hates it β€” Haley is "playing too hard." The two ran through the house: plan to manipulate Kamu and Chuk, "little girls" wrapped, Ashley wrapped, and Angela can't stand Melody β€” "most boring" person in the house, per Angela. The line of the night: "I've got those little girls right where we want them."

Earlier (6:31 PM), Ashley had recruited Angela to her side, and Angela offered her "I went on the block for Leah" credentials. Ashley left feeling she could trust Angela. The 7:46 PM conversation suggests that trust is being catalogued, not reciprocated.

What's open Monday

Mallory pulls herself off β€” that much is a given. The renom is not. The heavy feed lean is Ashley, with Dee having said the words "Ashley or Barrett" out loud to multiple people while privately deleting Barrett from the list. Haley's LaLa pitch landed badly enough that it may have hurt Haley more than it helped anyone. And the eviction target, per Dee's own mouth in two separate conversations, remains Yash β€” with a vote count she and Barrett already like.

But nothing is official until the ceremony. Ashley has until Monday, and she spent Sunday proving she knows it.
