Evening Update: Reinvent The Wheel

Devens won Reinvent The Wheel. Angela left 3-2. Julie locked a double next Thursday. Feeds came back to Dee with a popsicle and Barrett alone, then cut to animals. Week 10 still has no HOH.

Evening Update: Reinvent The Wheel

Thursday night, September 10, and the Blockbuster floor is a mess of puzzle pieces. Three players — Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, Rick Devens — race a comp called "Reinvent The Wheel," and Devens rings in first. That leaves Angela sitting next to Dee for the live vote, and the vote goes 3–2. Angela walks. The board, for the record: Week 10, no HOH, no nominees, no veto holder. Seven remain, the jury keeps growing, and the house ends the night the same way it started the week — without a key.

The wheel

The comp is lanes and pieces. You collect, you assemble a double-sided puzzle, you ring in when you think you've got it. Dee and Devens both lay their pieces out on the floor first, sorting before building. Angela carries hers one at a time, which is either careful or slow depending on how the edit treats her later.

It doesn't matter. Devens rings in, Julie confirms he's safe, and the Blockbuster does the one thing the Blockbuster does: it takes the person who least needed saving and saves him anyway. Second week in a row. Angela and Dee sit down in the chairs. If you want the Wednesday context for why this particular pairing was always the nightmare scenario, the morning note has it. We are not rebuilding it here.

The vote

Barrett Pfeiffer is HOH and doesn't vote. Five do.

Drew Campbell and Melody Morris vote to evict Dee. Devens, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel vote to evict Angela. Julie reads it: 3–2, Angela Murray is evicted from the Big Brother house.

The live show hands you two contradictions in the space of ten minutes — Melody's DR said Angela, then her vote said Dee; Yash's DR warmed to Dee, then his vote said Angela — and you can go read the full autopsy of that vote if you want the receipts unpacked. This note isn't that note. This note is the movie.

The door

Angela does not go quietly, because Angela has never done anything quietly. Per Jokers, she tells everyone they made the right decision, then stalls, then talks, then yells, then cries, then finally departs. That's five distinct exits packed into one, which is efficient by her standards.

On the couch — this is Goldderby's recap of the Julie interview, not feeds — Angela says keeping Dee was the right thing, that people in the house already talk like Dee has won Survivor. Julie is skeptical. That's all you get, and it's all you should get.

Julie closes the show with next Thursday: a double eviction, and a POV tease called Pressure Cooker — swords against a target this time, not the box. She's off to jury, where Lala is waiting.

6:03 to 6:07: Angela and Julie, goodbye messages you didn't hear, sign-off, feeds return.

The hour you don't get

From 6:07 to 7:03, the Jokers record says the hour included talks between Drew and Devens, Melody and Barrett, and a Yash–Taylor–Dee cluster. Then it says "Continues.." and gives you nothing else. No lines. No content. Three conversations happened in a house that just voted 3–2 with two DR reversals, and the archive shrugs.

You do not get to invent that hour. Neither do we. Name the pairs, note the silence, move on.

7:05: Dee paces the living room with a popsicle, crying. "Angela would laugh at me for crying," she says, which is true and also the nicest eulogy Angela gets tonight.

7:07: kitchen, pizza. Taylor, Yash, Dee, and Devens. Taylor wants the rack in the lines, damn Dee — she had it down for Barrett's cake. The oven sucks, flip them. Texture. Two minutes of a house pretending it's a house.

7:16: Dee, done crying, finds the other gear. "I would be so embarrassed if I was Barrett. He wanted me out, but did I go. No." Then she studies days, pacing the bathroom, because a survived eviction is a comp reminder.

7:17: Barrett on the hot tub couch, alone. The HOH who couldn't get his target out, sitting outside while his target memorizes the calendar inside. You don't need commentary. The blocking is the commentary.

7:32: feeds cut to animals for HOH. That's the last public receipt. No winner. No comp name. No have-nots. Whatever happens next is happening to fish.

Where that leaves it

Two Icons remain — Dee and Devens, after Angela's exit — against a FAP that is still three: Drew, Barrett, Melody. Taylor and Yash sit in the middle, having just put the same name in the box after talking themselves onto it.

Week 10 still has no key. The HOH comp is running behind the animals, next Thursday is a double, and the person who was supposed to be gone is walking laps with a popsicle. Barrett spent an HOH and got Angela. Whether that's a win depends entirely on what the feeds show when they come back.
