Evening Update: Drew Has the Veto

Drew lasted. Yash's needle popped at 2:48 AM and Drew won Pressure Cooker. He still sits with Barrett and Melody. Veto not used. Ceremony is next.

The Week 10 Power of Veto is over, and it took most of Saturday afternoon into Sunday overnight to get there. Pressure Cooker on the live feeds — swords held to a target, Taylor hosting — and it came down to Drew and Yash, alone on the swords, at nearly 3 in the morning. At 2:48 AM Yash squatted, said he didn't know if his needle would pop off, and it did. The board came off with it. He said Damn. Feeds cut. Jokers called it: Yash is out. Drew has won the veto.

Drew has the veto. He is also still on the block. Both things are true until a ceremony says otherwise.

The board

Week 10. Yash is HOH. Nominations are Barrett Pfeiffer, Drew Campbell, and Melody Morris — the whole FAP, still. Drew holds the veto. It has not been used. The ceremony has not happened. Nobody was evicted this week. Seven remain. Jury continues: LaTrice is there, Angela is walking in. Haley stays out. FAP is still three — Drew, Barrett, Melody — and two Icons remain, Dee and Devens. Thursday is a locked double. After the veto, three still play Blockbuster for the last chair unless the veto is used. It has not been used.

What you already have

Saturday morning's note is Morning Update: Three Still Sit — the board hadn't moved. Friday night's note is Evening Update: FAP Sits: Yash put the whole FAP up at 5:07, and Drew asked for spot 1 and got it. Yash wants Drew. Devens wants Barrett, with Melody as his worst-case third nominee.

The long stand

Taylor got the host call at 10:55 — pulled to DR, feed-labeled veto host. Animals from about 1:28. Two hours at 2:28, three at 3:28. Veto visible on feeds at 4:10: six playing — Yash, Drew, Barrett, Melody, Dee, Devens — Taylor hosting.

Julie's tease said Pressure Cooker, swords versus a target, and that's what they did. Not the old stand-in-a-box copy. Barrett named it a classic Pressure Cooker on the feeds himself. There was reward chatter about Meet the Fockers — Focker-in-law movie — which is feed texture, not a press release.

The drops:

6:05 — Dee drops. Five remain.
7:31 — Melody drops her sword, says F, and is later inside crying. Four remain. Jokers dubbed the leftover group the Dapper Dans: Drew, Barrett, Devens, Yash.
9:30 — Devens is out. Drew tells him he crushed it. Yash: good job. Jokers at 9:51: and then there were 3.
2:20 AM — Barrett is out. Feeds cut. Two remain: Drew and Yash.
2:48 AM — Yash's needle pops. The board comes off. Drew has it.

Somewhere around 1:39, before Barrett went down, Drew tried to cut a deal with him: use the veto on someone else, settle it in Blockbuster, and Drew threw in his never-have-not pass. Barrett was hurting by then. He didn't take a public lock. He dropped about forty minutes later.

The last two, and the talk

Label this what it is: talk on swords after 2:20, not a contract.

After Barrett dropped, Drew and Yash negotiated. Yash said he didn't want to give Drew the veto, called him a snake, and then talked terms anyway: if I give you this veto, you don't put me up or renom me next HOH; if Taylor is on the block, you don't vote her out. Drew swore it on his cousin Matthew. Drew also said he can't do it to Taylor. Yash said he'd drop in a bit.

Then he squatted, and the needle popped.

So file both: Yash talked about dropping, and the needle came off the board. "Yash gifted Drew the veto" is not a settled fact, and the terms are not a rulebook. Drew said shake my hand. The feeds did not hand you a signed copy.

Taylor, on the couch earlier: she doesn't want Drew to win, and she'd go on the block for Barrett but not for Drew. Couch talk. Filed as such.

Where this leaves it
