Morning Update: Angela Won. Dee Has the Keys

Thursday night, live: Angela pulled herself off the block, Kamu walked 8-1, and Dee won HOH. Overnight she and Devens sketched a slate — Yash, Taylor, Lala — while the other side of the house melted down over the vote.

The Blockbuster: Space Race

The competition was Space Race — the three nominees each in a clear box over a fan, first to snag 10 red and 10 yellow balls out of the air and into their tubes wins (TV). Haley got her 10 red first, but Angela closed out both colors and took it (TV). Julie confirmed it live: Angela off the block, Haley and Kamu facing eviction (TV).

The episode also aired Monday's diamond ceremony for the viewers, which is Monday's news, not Thursday's.

The vote: 8-1

Lala voted first, for Haley. Then Devens, Taylor, Mallory, Melody, Drew, Barrett, Angela, and Dee all voted to evict Kamu. 8-1 (TV). Julie later confirmed to Kamu that the lone keep vote was Lala's — and Kamu had already guessed it (social).

Two small live-vote beats worth flagging: Angela used her vote to shout out Tucker for helping her prep for the Blockbuster (TV), and Kamu left smiling, telling Julie he respects Devens' DPOV move as a player and a fan (TV). With Kamu gone, Devens' Wednesday threat to blow things up if Kamu stayed never had to fire.

Dee is HOH

Feeds went to animals around 10:34 PM for the HOH comp. By 11:12 PM they were back and Dee was holding the key. Week 7 HOH: Dee Valladares.

One asterisk on the comp: Barrett later said he and Mallory both could have won, and Melody agreed. Updaters on social framed it as the two of them throwing it so Dee would win. That's their claim plus social framing — we didn't see the comp, so label it accordingly.

The plan (a plan, not noms)

Nominations are not set. Veto hasn't happened. What follows is overnight talk.

By 11:14 PM, Barrett was already relaying the shape of it: Dee's targets are Yash, Taylor, and Lala — Haley's off the slate because Dee likes her slightly more. At 11:29 PM, Dee and Devens talked it through directly: put up Yash, Lala, and Taylor, keep Haley off the block, and stage an HOH meeting that pointedly leaves the other side out — partly to sell Mallory and Melody as being with them. Devens' pitch: between him putting Kamu up and Dee putting up those three, nobody in the Mosh Pit can doubt them (social).

Around 3:09 AM Dee was still on Taylor, Lala, and Yash, with the renom flagged as the tricky part — Devens noted they can't renom anyone in the Mosh Pit without blowing the alliance up. Social updaters had Dee thinking about a Yash backdoor, unsure who the third nominee would be (social).

Then, at 1:41 AM, the wrinkle: Dee floated to Devens using "my power" — offering Drew $5k to keep her and Devens safe the rest of the game, and if he says no, putting him up. Per Jokers: "I will make sh&t up." Kamu said on the episode that Dee has a bribe power (TV), and Dee said she's still waiting on an answer about it. It has not been confirmed to us or played. Treat all of that as unconfirmed until it isn't.

Her 4:03 AM cam-talk laid out her actual map: her core is herself, Angela, and Devens; they have the Crossovers; she loves Barrett; she doesn't trust Drew; and she reads Melody and Mallory as cool with the other side. Meetings Friday.

The fallout: Lala furious, Taylor lighting matches

Lala thought the vote was going to be 8-1 the other way — evicting Haley — and Taylor told her she'd been with her (social). By 6:33 PM Lala was crying and furious, saying she wants to nail someone to the wall. She and Taylor gamed out their own revenge slate: Drew, Barrett, Devens, with Dee as the replacement if one comes down. By 11:55 PM Lala was sobbing to Taylor that she doesn't want to keep going.

Meanwhile, Drew went straight to blame-shifting. Around 7:33 PM, Melody reported that Drew told Yash the flip didn't happen because "the girls" didn't want to do it; Mallory noted he'd previously said he'd take all the blame himself. Melody, per Jokers, is lowkey so mad. Yash later confirmed the story to Taylor's side: Drew told him Mallory and Melody flipped, not him.

Taylor spent the early morning trying to weaponize it. Around 12:49 AM she told Mallory to blow it up — that she and Melody could stay if they did, because Drew and Barrett would let them go home. By 3:07 AM the pitch had sharpened: tell Dee that M&M pushed Kamu out and Drew wanted to keep him. Lala and Mallory, comparing notes, landed on Drew and Barrett as the ones who flipped it — and agreed the first Icon to go should be Devens.

So Dee's Friday meetings are going to be a collision: her plan says Yash, Taylor, Lala. The other side's counter-narrative says Drew.

Friday morning

Dee got called to the DR around 2:28 AM and finally got her HOH room — letter from her mom, in Spanish. By 3:55 AM she was on the HOH bed translating it, talking nominees, and noting she needs to study "Days." Meetings start Friday morning.

Board as of publish: Dee is HOH. Nominees empty. Veto empty. Nothing is locked, and after the night Lala and Taylor just had, don't assume the slate survives the meetings intact.
