Evening Update: Dee Names LaTrice, Taylor, and Drew

Friday afternoon Dee locked Week 7 noms: LaTrice Verrett, Taylor Brown, and Drew Campbell. Overnight she'd been sketching Yash, Taylor, and Lala. Feeds went to animals at 3:59 PM for the ceremony and came back at 5:57 PM. Drew celebrated in HOH with the Icons. Lala went after FAP, not Dee, and said she's going for veto. Taylor said she was in the shower. Veto has not been played.

Friday afternoon into evening: Dee locked a block, the feeds went to animals for the ceremony, and they came back with LaTrice, Taylor, and Drew on it.

Nomination day is done, and the slate isn't the one we woke up to. Dee Valladares put up Drew Campbell, LaTrice "Lala" Verrett, and Taylor Brown on Friday — swapping Yash Patel off the overnight sketch from this morning's update and sliding Drew into the third chair. Feeds went to animals for the ceremony and came back to a house treating those three as the nominees. One caveat up top: we don't have a transcript of Dee's ceremony speech, so anything you see quoted as her nomination lines elsewhere isn't from the feeds.

How the slate locked

Friday afternoon into evening, all times house PT.

The pivot happened fast. At 2:41 PM, Dee told Rick Devens that Lala wants Devens gone — "that b*tch is going up" — and that Taylor was a "duh going up." Six minutes later, Devens signed off on the third name: "Drew Lala Taylor is good noms."

Yash wasn't off Dee's mind, just off her block. Between 2:55 and 2:58 PM, Dee and Devens were still calling Yash the biggest threat in the game, and Dee told Haley Thogmartin she wasn't going up and "I am backdooring Yash." File that as what Dee said to Haley — not a completed move, and as you'll see, not even a firm plan. By 3:22 PM she was telling Angela Murray she'd considered putting Yash up "but that is dumb." At 3:27 PM the logic sharpened: break up the FAP combo. Angela flagged being scared of a Taylor/Yash pairing; Dee said she doesn't play scared.

Then came the make-nice. At 3:45 PM, Dee told Yash directly that she'd floated him to Haley as a possible renom "but I had to," adding that she doesn't respect Drew and will get blood on her hands. They clapped it out — "we are even" — at 3:51 PM, right before the DR called her in with "it is time."

Feeds down, feeds back, three reactions

Animals hit at 3:59 PM for the ceremony, and stayed on through another animals hour at 4:59 PM. Feeds returned at 5:57 PM to a house already sorted into camps. (For the record: the noms themselves are corroborated by fans and recappers on social, plus everything the house said on-feed after.)

Drew, weirdly, was celebrating. At 5:58 PM he was in HOH with Angela, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Dee, saying he expected to see his face and thanking her — Dee told the room they all did good, and when Angela asked if it was planned, Dee said no. A minute later, Angela hugged him and Drew delivered the line of the night: "I sat between my mom and dad and my sister put me up."

Lala came out swinging — just not at Dee. From 6:01 to 6:16 PM she told the HOH she's not mad at Dee; she's mad at "those little f'ckers" in FAP. She's going for veto and declared herself a "lone wolf now." She called Drew a liar, said Mallory Aurichio is a liar and that she never said Angela's name — while also owning that she did say "icon" and does want Devens out, with Drew, Barrett, Mallory, and Melody Morris as her named witnesses. Dee told her to talk to Angela and said they care about each other outside the game.

Taylor went with denial. Between 6:06 and 6:14 PM she told Mallory she was in the HOH shower and didn't say it. The room wasn't buying: Angela said Taylor told on Lala before it all went down, and Barrett said Taylor pretended she was in the shower.

By 6:22 PM, Melody was observing that Drew took most of the heat, and Lala was pulling Angela aside to talk.

What's still open

Plenty. The veto hasn't been played, and Lala has already announced she's gunning for it. The Yash backdoor was said out loud to Haley and then walked back to Angela within a half hour — Dee's actual renom plan, if she has one, hasn't been stated on-feed since. And the HOH herself seems delighted with the wreckage: at 6:21 PM, back in her room, Dee summed up her Friday as "Chaos. I'll drink wine. Best day ever."

The board: Week 7. HOH: Dee. Nominees: LaTrice, Taylor, Drew. Veto: not yet played. Kamu was evicted in Week 6.
