Lyric's veto win did something interesting to this house: it made the future visible without making it real. Everyone can see the shape of the week — Kamu wants Jason on the block, the veto ceremony hasn't happened, and the vote after it is still a pile of loose numbers. Nothing on the official board moved overnight. Kamu is HOH. Lala, Lyric, and Mallory are the nominees. Lyric holds an unused veto. Jason is a plan, not a nominee. What did move overnight was the strategy layer underneath all of it, and Taylor spent Friday evening trying to redraw it entirely.

Word of Taylor's pitch got around before Taylor finished pitching it. At 7:40 PM, Kamu told Devens that Taylor had proposed an alliance involving Kamu, Devens, Drew, and Barrett — and Devens was immediately skeptical that the house needed a new alliance this deep into the season.

Taylor laid out the full architecture at 8:50 PM: a five-person structure pulling one member from each of the house's existing friend groups. The mechanism is what she calls "tethers" — each member of the new group protects their own closest ally, so joining doesn't mean immediately knifing your friends. It's cross-house protection, framed as insurance rather than betrayal.

She kept working the logic on Kamu directly from 9:11 to 9:19 PM. Kamu said he liked the idea but worried about who in such a group could actually be trusted. That's where it sits: a pitch that got a polite reception and zero handshakes. This is a proposed alliance, not a formed one. Nobody has confirmed anything.

Taylor was also candid about the cost of the current week. At 8:53 PM she acknowledged that Lala picked Jason for the veto because of their trio, and told Kamu that if forced to choose, she'd rather lose Lala than Jason — while conceding the house was going to act in its own interest either way. That's a preference, stated to the HOH, not a vote.

The plan that hasn't changed, and the math that isn't settled

While Taylor was drawing maps, everyone else was working the week in front of them.

Kamu, at 9:08 PM, was as plain as an HOH gets: his plan has not changed, and Jason goes up as the replacement if he gets the chance. Note the conditional — if he gets the chance depends on Lyric using the veto, which she has not done.

Later, at 12:37 AM, Kamu relayed that Jason had told him he'd have used the veto the way Kamu wanted if he'd won it, and Lyric said she would never put Kamu up. File that under relationship maintenance. None of it is a ceremony decision.

Jason, for his part, knows exactly where he stands. At 12:24 AM he told Angela he'd had vertigo after the veto comp and that Kamu never actually told him he was safe from a renom. His response has been the sensible one: work the social game, specifically getting closer to Angela and Haley. Whether that moves Kamu is another question.

Meanwhile, the middle of the house did its own quiet counting. At 11:24 PM, Devens, Dee, and Angela agreed they weren't turning on Drew and Barrett yet — Devens noted Angela had floated a backdoor-Drew idea, but not for this week.

Then Drew and Melody sketched the week's real fault line. From 12:53 to 12:59 AM, they described the house as split into loose sides, and Melody said she'd prefer Lala out. Drew agreed, adding that Mallory could win an HOH for them. They ran a hypothetical vote and landed at 6–6 with seven needed before feeds cut. That is two people doing private, contingent math on a nominee lineup that doesn't exist yet. It is not a vote count, and nobody should treat it as one.

Drew kept pushing the idea at 1:19 AM, telling Barrett they needed to keep Mallory and that he believed Angela was a vote. Believed. Angela hasn't confirmed anything on feeds. And at 2:08 AM, Melody mentioned that after Jason won Blockbuster she stopped being nervous about the vote — a recollection of an earlier event, not new game-state.

Lyric and Mallory check the temperature

The most human beat of the night came between 1:10 and 1:23 AM, when Lyric and Mallory — two of the three actual nominees — had a close conversation about what comes next. Mallory said she'd talk to Kamu to make sure the plan hadn't changed. Lyric said that if she won HOH, she'd nominate someone who hadn't been on the block before. That's a forward-looking intention about a future week, not a decision about this one.

After that, the feeds went personal, and the house went to bed.
