Morning Update: Kamu Wins Veto—and Leaves His Old Alliance Hanging

Kamu won the Week 5 Power of Veto, but his current no-use plan has Haley and Chuk confronting how far their old ally has moved away. The fallout also exposed Angela's eviction-vote lie, Dee's power, and a new center of gravity in LaTrice's house.

Saturday gave Haley and Chuk the one veto draw that looked capable of saving their week. Then Kamu won it—and spent the rest of the night showing them exactly how far he had moved away.

Kamu is the confirmed Week 5 Power of Veto winner. His current plan is to leave LaTrice's nominations alone, which would keep Barrett, Chuk, and Haley on the block. That decision is not official until the veto ceremony, but Kamu has now repeated the no-use plan to enough people that Haley has stopped treating him like a possible rescue and started talking like the Blockbuster is her only way out.

That would have been enough drama for one veto day. The house also detonated over Angela's eviction vote, Dee handed Kamu one of her most sensitive pieces of game information, and the new power structure began talking openly about life after Haley.

The veto draw offered one last lifeline

Feeds returned Saturday morning at 7:55 AM to a house still picking through the previous eviction vote. Angela admitted that she had voted to evict Lyric and lied about it. Haley and Chuk were angry less about the stray vote than the deception; Chuk initially refused Angela's attempt at a hug.

Then the veto draw briefly improved their mood. Barrett, Chuk, and Haley would play alongside Taylor, Dee, and Kamu. Kamu's chip gave Haley and Chuk a former ally with the power to pull one of them down without forcing the other to win the competition.

The feeds cut to animals at 1:43 PM and returned at 4:24 PM. Soon afterward, two live-update accounts independently reported the result: Kamu won the Power of Veto. The production board now reflects that result while correctly leaving all three nominees in place pending the ceremony.

Kamu's win became a separation notice

Kamu initially told Chuk and Haley that he did not know what he would do. The uncertainty did not reassure them. Haley quickly concluded that he was leaning toward keeping the nominations the same, while Chuk said their relationship could not recover if Kamu refused to use the veto.

By 6:13 PM, Kamu's private language was firmer. He said he and LaTrice had agreed not to use it, and they discussed floating a fake Devens-renomination story as cover. Again, that is a plan—not a completed veto ceremony—but it revealed where Kamu's loyalties now sit.

Minutes later, Kamu told Devens that he felt closer to Devens and Dee and least close to Chuk. He described a trusted group built around Devens, Yash, LaTrice, Taylor, and Dee. Devens read the same shift: Kamu was separating from Haley and Chuk, not looking for a way to restore the old alliance.

Haley felt it. At 7:52 PM, she told Chuk that Kamu was not going to use the veto. Near midnight, she said she had sobbed while pleading her case to him and believed she now had to win the Blockbuster or go home. Her frustration was personal as well as strategic: she felt she had spent the game putting the alliance ahead of herself, only to discover that the alliance had already moved on.

Chuk's reaction was colder. He warned Taylor that if he survived, he would remember how people treated him while he was on the block. Taylor, meanwhile, was already sketching the next phase: after a possible Haley eviction, she floated temporarily bringing Chuk back in to help target the season's other big names. It was a proposal, not a settled group plan, but it showed how quickly the house had begun treating Haley's departure as a working assumption.

Angela's vote lie became the day's other explosion

Before the veto competition, Kamu brought Angela into a gym conversation with Haley, Chuk, Dee, and Yash so the group could confront the disputed eviction vote. Angela admitted that she had lied. The conversation grew emotional and then fractured into competing rooms, with LaTrice, Taylor, and Yash rallying around Angela while Haley and Chuk felt increasingly isolated.

The feeds did not provide a clean continuous view of the worst part, but the house spent the night retelling it. Kamu said Haley did not escalate and Angela did, unleashing enough profanity that other houseguests wondered how much of the scene could air. Haley later described Angela screaming at her until LaTrice pulled Angela away.

Kamu's own account added an uncomfortable strategic edge: shortly after midnight, he said he was glad he brought Angela into the confrontation because he knew she would "pop off." Drew later characterized the move similarly. Melody landed on the human cost: it might make good television, she said, but it still felt awful on a personal level.

That distinction matters. Angela's lie was a game event. Turning the confrontation into a pressure cooker was game behavior. Her distress was still real, and it does not need to be treated as a punchline to understand how completely the exchange rearranged the day's loyalties.

Dee gave away her power—and immediately regretted it

One of the quieter strategic mistakes may have longer legs. Before the confrontation, Dee told Kamu about a $5,000 transaction-style power as a way to cement trust. By early evening, she was alone with the cameras regretting how much of her game she had exposed.

Dee's concern was not abstract. She could see Taylor, Yash, and LaTrice gaining influence with Kamu, and she was already thinking about eventually targeting Taylor. Telling Kamu about the power may have brought her closer to the new center for the moment, but it also gave that center information she can never take back.

By 1:57 AM, Devens and Kamu agreed that everyone seemed to be on the same page. That may be true for the emerging majority. It is definitely not true for the three nominees—or for Dee, who already understands that being included in a group is not the same thing as controlling it.
