Evening Update: Yash Makes It Official—and the Block Starts Talking

Yash nominated Angela, Dee, and Haley, setting off a rejected bribe, emotional appeals, veto plotting, and three very different reactions to the block.

The board is real now. After a morning of drafts, pitches, and one rejected bribe, Yash nominated Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Haley Thogmartin. When feeds returned from the nomination ceremony on Friday, the memory wall showed all three photos at 6:05 PM. If you read this morning's note, you know Yash spent the overnight hours shuffling every name in the house—this is where the shuffling stopped.

How the plan hardened

The day started messy. Feeds came back at 8:46 AM to a confrontation between Haley, LaTrice, and Angela over whether LaTrice had bullied Haley, with Angela caught emotionally in the middle. That wasn't an official game event, but it was the temperature of the house on nomination day, and it fed directly into the positioning that followed.

By 10:43 AM, Yash had a working three. He told Devens it was Haley, Angela, and Dee—Haley as the house target, Dee as a pawn owed partly to her Week 1 nomination of him, and Angela as someone he flatly didn't trust. Worth flagging: those labels are Yash's evolving story, not objective truth. "Pawn" is a word HOHs use, and nominees hear differently.

He repeated the three to Haley herself at 12:05 PM, and added a wrinkle: if she won veto, he told her, she should use it. He said he expected Barrett to be the replacement and believed Barrett would stay. That's Yash's stated plan—he hadn't told Barrett, and no replacement is confirmed by anything but Yash's mouth.

The attempts to change the board

Everyone got a swing.

Dee and Devens worked the hardest, in the sense of throwing the most ideas at the wall. Between 11:30 AM and 12:07 PM, after learning Dee was likely going up, they talked through using Dee's claimed bribe to buy her off the block, having Devens volunteer as a pawn, and possible Diamond Power of Veto scenarios. Those were planning scenarios; none changed the nomination board. Whatever the bribe was worth, it didn't work: at 2:52 PM, Dee told Kamu that Yash had rejected it.

Angela went emotional and direct. At 12:15 PM she pitched Yash on safety, reminded him of a prior promise, offered loyalty, and said LaTrice had her heart. Yash countered with the Chuk vote and his mistrust. They hugged. No safety promise held, and by 3:04 PM Yash was telling her straight that there was a high chance she'd go up. Angela cried; Taylor tried to reassure her.

Haley got the most transparency and the least drama. Yash told her the plan to her face at 12:05 PM, veto advice included. There wasn't much of a counter-pitch to make when the HOH has already named you the target.

Meanwhile, Kamu told Devens at 1:49 PM that the plan was to put up Dee—and Devens said he wanted to avoid Dee until nominations because he didn't want to lie to her. By 3:15 PM Dee had figured it out anyway, telling Haley she was going up and would win veto and stay. At 3:28 PM, Yash confirmed to Devens he'd told Dee she was a pawn and repeated the Barrett-as-replacement idea. Feeds went down at 4:16 PM for the ceremony.

The fallout, one nominee at a time

Angela took it personally, which tracks with the pitch she made—hers was never a numbers argument, it was a loyalty argument, and losing a loyalty argument stings differently. By 7:11 PM she was saying she'd appeal to Mallory's emotions, and at 8:41 PM she cried while talking through her real problem: she needs someone to play veto for her and use it on her. That's an honest read of her position. It's also a hard ask.

Dee ran the full spectrum. At 6:25 PM she camera-talked through a volatile veto plan, said she wanted to get Yash back, and floated scenarios touching Kamu, Taylor, LaTrice, Angela, and Devens—venting and theory, not results. At 6:51 PM she told Angela there was a world where both of them stay, depending on veto outcomes. Theory only. Then the anger cracked. From 8:34 PM into the 9 o'clock hour, Dee cried—first with Barrett, upset about Taylor talking to Haley, then with Haley herself, saying she wanted to explode on someone and questioning whether Kamu had damaged her standing with Yash. She ended the window insisting there was a way all three nominees could stay, but feeds cut before she explained how. If there's a plan there, we haven't seen it.

Haley was, by nomination-night standards, remarkably composed. She worked out alone as feeds returned, told Taylor at 7:54 PM that with Chuk gone she could finally play her own game, and then sat with a crying Dee and told her the block feelings would pass. At 9:30 PM, when Dee said she no longer trusted Yash, Haley pushed one layer deeper: would Dee feel that way if she were not on the block? Being the named house target and still functioning as the calm one in the room is a choice, and it's not a bad one. She listened, and she kept gaming.

One more read worth logging: at 9:06 PM, Barrett characterized Yash as "bro strong"—with the guys. That's Barrett's interpretation, not an alliance announcement, but the initial board does keep every man in the house off the block, so file it as a theory with circumstantial support.

What's actually settled

Three nominations. That's it. No veto winner exists yet, Barrett-as-replacement is a plan Yash hasn't even shared with Barrett, the bribe is a rejected claim, and every power scenario floated today lives entirely in houseguest heads. Yash spent a week's worth of options and finally bought a board—now the veto decides whether he keeps it.
