Evening Update: King Yash Wins Veto—and Controls the Board

Yash added the OTEV veto to his Week 6 HOH, leaving Angela, Dee, and Haley on a board now surrounded by bribe pitches, counterplots, and a shifting target.

Bow before the crown, or at least the OTEV podium. Yash, already sitting in the Week 6 HOH room, won the Power of Veto Saturday afternoon—and with it, both ordinary levers over the Veto ceremony's version of the block unless another power intervenes. All of Saturday evening's scheming flows from that one fact. This update runs in Pacific house time from Friday night through roughly 8:30 PM Saturday.

The comp: goop, latrines, and a king who wanted it

Feeds cut to animals at 12:12 PM Saturday for the Veto competition and stayed down for about three hours and forty minutes. When they came back at 3:58 PM, the receipt was clean: Yash won the Power of Veto. Post-comp chatter identified the competition as OTEV.

The best detail came afterward. The final three were Melody, Barrett, and Yash, and Barrett asked whether Yash would hand him the win. Yash's reply: "I trust you, but I want this." That's the whole week in one sentence. HOH, Veto, and no apologies.

The comp left its usual marks—Barrett came back covered in goop, and Melody worked through her Lady of the Latrine punishment, wrapping up around 6:14 PM. Color, not consequence.

The board after the win

The nominations Yash made Friday night—Angela, Dee, and Haley—are still the nominations. No Veto ceremony has happened. But the lean is getting clearer.

Back at 12:08 AM, hours before the comp, Yash told Kamu he wanted Haley to stay and was leaning toward Dee leaving after her nomination reaction, though he still called Angela versus Dee close. At 12:12 AM, Mallory said she wouldn't use the Veto on Angela, and Yash noted Drew, Kamu, and Mallory all planned to sit on it if selected. That question is now moot—Yash holds the medallion himself.

Post-win, the picture sharpened. At 4:04 PM, Kamu celebrated that Yash wouldn't have to nominate a fourth person if he leaves the board untouched—a possibility, not a decision. Between 5:14 and 5:20 PM, Dee and Drew clocked Yash as a new threat after his comp run, while Yash told Kamu he most wants Haley to stay, flagged Barrett as a threat, and reaffirmed that he and Kamu are each other's number ones.

By around 5:30 PM, Yash, Kamu, and Taylor were openly discussing shifting the target to Dee. At 5:49 PM, Kamu said flatly that he wants Dee out and questioned how close Dee and Devens really are; Yash floated the idea that saving Angela could pull her closer and stressed keeping Drew. All of this is leaning and campaigning—the ceremony hasn't happened, and no target is locked.

The counterplot: Devens, the bribe, and a hypothetical Kamu renom

While the HOH suite planned, Devens was running his own math—and every piece of it is conditional.

Friday night, after our last cutoff, Devens and Dee discussed his Diamond Power of Veto, the idea of saving Dee, and the possibility of him receiving Dee's bribe money. The mechanics discussed here come from Devens's own account; no power was used in this reporting window.

Saturday afternoon it got more concrete—as a plan. From 4:15 to 4:31 PM, Devens talked alone about using his power to save Angela and Dee and possibly putting Kamu up, debating whether to loop Kamu in or blindside him. He did not decide. Then from 5:33 to 5:45 PM, he told Dee directly that he wanted the $5,000, considered encouraging Dee and Angela to pitch a Kamu replacement nomination, and said he wanted to feel out Yash and Kamu before committing. Dee encouraged the move. To be crystal clear: planning only. No power has been used, no renom exists, and a contemplated pitch is not a delivered one.

Campaign season opens early

The rejected bribe is turning into a weapon. At 5:20 PM, Dee told Drew that she offered Yash $5,000 not to nominate her and he turned it down. By 6:31 PM, Yash told Taylor he might tell Melody and Mallory about the bribe to secure votes against Dee—and he phrased the pitch pretty decisively. But the receipts only establish his plan to say it, not that he'd actually delivered it by our cutoff.

The vote itself is not settled. At 7:30 PM, Mallory told Taylor she thought Haley would be the one to leave, and Taylor pushed back, asking why the house wouldn't use the week to remove an Icon. If the HOH suite wants Dee gone, that message hasn't fully landed yet.

The nominees are working what angles they have. At 6:49 PM, Angela laughed about asking Yash to use the Veto on her, and LaTrice told her to try; by 8:15 PM, Angela admitted she doesn't have much currency to offer him. And around 8:24 PM, Dee and Angela were clocking Yash, Taylor, and Haley spending time together and worrying about the upstairs structure—their read, not proof of a new alliance.

Where things stand

King Yash's crown is real but bounded. He decides whether Angela, Dee, and Haley stay on the block and, if he pulls anyone off, who replaces them. He does not control the Blockbuster, and he does not control the eviction vote—Mallory's Haley read is proof the house isn't marching in lockstep yet.
