Kamu kept Jason in his crosshairs, but the evening feeds belonged to a fully dressed-up tea party: Drew and Barrett in dresses, teacups in the yard, and a house that briefly chose pageantry over panic.

Evening Update: Tea Party Dresses, Teacups, and a Jason-Sized Target

If you tuned into the feeds tonight expecting whispered paranoia in dark corners, you got it — for about forty minutes. Then Drew and Barrett put on dresses, the yard filled with teacups, and Big Brother 28 turned into the most earnest garden party this side of a Jane Austen adaptation. Both things are true at once, and that is the whole story of the evening.

The tea party is real, and it is spectacular

Around 5:26 p.m., houseguests cheered Drew and Barrett as they got ready in dresses. By 5:40, Drew had confirmed the tea party was happening. The house rallied like it was a competition: food assembled, teacups arranged, and the backyard turned into a proper venue.

By 6:21 p.m., the houseguests were dressed up. Dee, Drew, and Barrett posed; an official tea-party group photo appeared; and by 6:25, the party had started in earnest, with everyone eating and chatting. A few minutes later, Devens thanked the people who contributed and gave Barrett and Drew their due for the style.

It was silly, it was sincere, and for one very good stretch of feeds, nobody was scheming louder than a teacup clink.

Meanwhile, underneath the doilies: Jason

Before anyone laced up a dress, the strategic engine was running. At 5:07 p.m., Kamu told Angela that Jason was his target and asked how to present it to him. Angela repeated the read minutes later, and at 5:16, Devens called Jason the priority while Angela agreed.

Kamu also talked through a contingency: if Jason has a power, he wants to flush it, and he said he would still renom Jason if that power exists. That is a stated intention, not a nomination. Nothing on the board moved. At 5:30, Kamu added that if Jason stays, he wants him to have no one — while Melody noted that Mallory was still off the feeds, dressed up and waiting.

Where the game actually stands

The settled board is unchanged from this morning: Kamu is HOH; Lala, Lyric, and Mallory are the nominees; and Lyric holds an unused veto. Jason is Kamu's intended replacement — he is not a nominee, and no ceremony, vote, or power outcome has occurred.

So enjoy the group photo. Just know that somewhere behind the finger-food spread, the same strategic pressure was still humming.
