Evening Update: Jason, Lyric, and Melody Hit the Block

Rick Devens nominated Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, and Melody Morris for Week 2, matching earlier predictions. The nomination ceremony sparked a heated confrontation, with Angela and Jason yelling and several houseguests in tears. Rick framed Rome as his deeper strategic target, suggesting a possible backdoor plan depending on veto results. Angela, burdened by a punishment costume, was publicly named by Rome as the driving force behind the move, adding tension. Early post-nomination chatter leans toward Jason being evicted, but the veto competition could change the lineup. The atmosphere is charged, and alliances are visibly shaken.

Evening Update: Jason, Lyric, and Melody Hit the Block

The morning note said Melody was the recurring target with Lyric and Jason in the block construction, and by evening that forecast was the board: Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, and Melody Morris are Rick Devens' Week 2 nominees. But the names ended up being the least dramatic part of the day. Feeds came back before the nomination ceremony had even fully wrapped, and what viewers caught was Angela and Jason yelling, multiple houseguests in tears, and alliance business getting aired in front of the whole room. All times below are Friday, Pacific.

The Board

  • HOH: Rick Devens (Week 2)
  • Nominees: Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, Melody Morris
  • Veto: Not yet played
  • Evicted: Ashley remains the only houseguest out the door

From Morning Lean to Nomination Result

This one telegraphed itself. Our morning update went out at 6:19 AM with Melody as the recurring target, Lyric and Jason in the mix, and Rome discussed as a possible veto replacement. The house spent the day catching up to that read.

At 10:02 AM, Melody told Lyric and Mallory she didn't feel safe. By 1:14 PM, Rome was telling Lyric and Melody he thought the nominees would be exactly those three names — and adding that he'd make a scene if he went up himself. At 1:47 PM, Devens was rehearsing nomination speech material with Dee, including a line about Rome having thrown people under the bus to protect two allies. That last detail matters, because it previews where Devens' head actually is — more on that below.

By 3:15 PM, Jason was crying while Rome tried to rally him, and at 3:19 PM Rome again mapped out Melody, Lyric, and Jason as the likely nominees with himself as a possible backdoor target. He framed Angela as the one driving the move and escalated his rhetoric against her — which set the stage for what happened next.

The Egg Before the Explosion

Before the ceremony, the house got its first taste of the BB Time Capsule. At 2:02 PM, Angela emerged in the returning egg punishment costume, and at 2:04 PM she explained the deal: America selected her for the first Time Capsule, she faced a one-shot 50/50 power-or-punishment choice, and she lost. No power, and she wears the egg through the next nomination ceremony. A rough beat for Angela on a day when she was already being named — by Rome, loudly — as the force behind the nominations.

The Ceremony Detonates

Feeds returned around 5:40 PM to the tail end of the nomination ceremony, and the room had not settled. Devens said Jason had admitted telling white lies and had advocated putting the women up. Angela and Jason were yelling at each other before Devens even formally adjourned the meeting. And critically, Devens closed by making clear that Rome remains his deeper game target — the same framing he'd rehearsed with Dee hours earlier.

The aftermath, 5:43 to 5:49 PM: Jason, Angela, Melody, and LaTrice were all crying. Lyric and Melody worked to stay calm. Angela later apologized for hijacking the meeting. The nomination board on the wall confirmed what the room already knew — Melody Morris, Lyric Medeiros, Jason De Puy.

The house itself registered how unusual this was. After 6 PM, Taylor said she had never seen a nomination ceremony like it. LaTrice felt blindsided by what came out during the meeting and struggled with the fallout. When alliance information and betrayals get read into the record at a ceremony instead of whispered in the HOH room, everyone's map of the house gets redrawn at once — and that's what this was.

Veto Outlook

Everything from here is fluid, so hold it loosely.

At 6:49 PM, Drew said the developing house lean was Jason out — an early post-nomination read, not a locked vote, and it's worth remembering how much can shift between a Friday nomination and a Thursday eviction. At 6:53 PM, Devens talked through a veto path where Melody or Lyric comes down and Rome goes up, keeping someone from that side of the house exposed no matter what. That's strategy talk, not a plan in motion — the veto hasn't been played, and Rome is not a nominee. But between the rehearsed speech, the ceremony closer, and the replacement talk, Devens has now said three times in one day that Rome is the deeper target. The veto competition decides whether he gets the shot.
