Evening Update: The House Splits Before the Blockbuster

The board hasn't moved since Monday evening. LaTrice is HOH, Kamu kept the veto in his pocket, and Barrett, Chuk, and Haley are still the three nominees. That's the frozen part. Everything else spent the last twenty-odd hours reorganizing around it — and because there was no morning update, this one runs from Monday night straight through Tuesday afternoon. Buckle in.

The HOH room got busy after dark

At 10:50 PM Monday, LaTrice, Taylor, Melody, and Mallory made a pact in the HOH room. Within minutes, the conversation turned into a pile-on against the Icons — Dee, Devens, and Angela — with talk of targeting whoever survives the current block. Call it a named pact and an anti-Icons conversation; whether it's a stable alliance is a Thursday-and-beyond question.

The ink wasn't dry before pieces of it started drifting. Between 12:39 and 12:45 AM, Drew, Melody, and Mallory talked about getting Kamu out before jury, calling him the biggest threat in the house and floating either sitting him next to an Icon or backdooring him. Yes — Melody and Mallory, roughly two hours removed from the HOH pact, sketching next-week plans against Kamu. These were plans, not nominations, but the churn was already visible.

Kamu, for his part, spent 1:34 to 2:16 AM with Drew drawing a sharp line between the two other nominees: Haley would probably win the Blockbuster, Haley isn't a liar the way Chuk is, and whoever survives between them becomes a next-week target. From 12:18 to 12:33 PM Tuesday, Taylor and Devens talked through a primary group, Kamu joined, and the three of them explicitly named Taylor, Devens, Kamu, and Yash as an alliance of four. Yash walked in and said he was with them. Kamu's summary: "Let's rock to the end." No alliance name yet, but this is more than a floated idea — four people, in a room, saying the words out loud.

Barrett lights the fuse

The wine gathering did not stay secret. From 1:07 to 1:44 PM, Barrett told Dee and Devens what happened in the HOH room, anti-Icons targeting included, and then Drew and Barrett repeated the details to Angela. The response was immediate: the Icons, Barrett, and Drew started counting a possible seven if Mallory and Melody came along — which, again, would put Mallory and Melody in both structures at once. Treat that seven as loose coordination, not a confirmed group.

The target math got specific fast. Dee said she wanted LaTrice, Taylor, Yash, and Kamu out one by one, and Drew and Dee agreed Kamu should go first. By mid-afternoon, Drew was relaying to Devens that LaTrice's target order included Haley, Chuk, Devens, and others, while Dee and Devens sized up the Icons as swing numbers that both sides need. Separately, Barrett, Mallory, and Melody circled back to the Kamu-out-next-week plan. Around 1 AM, Dee's Doritos prank woke Devens and genuinely upset him. Dee apologized when he came back, Devens accepted, and the whole thing resolved in under half an hour. Not game-state evidence — just a reminder that these people are sleep-deprived and living on top of each other.
