Evening Update: Haley Wins the Blockbuster, Chuk Goes 9–1

Haley needed to win the BB Blockbuster to stay in the house Thursday night. She won it. And then she cast the only vote in the room that wasn't for Chuk.

The Blockbuster That Actually Mattered

At 5:35 PM, Julie confirmed it: Haley won the Blockbuster, pulling herself out of the eviction vote and leaving Barrett and Chuk to face it. The house got the news at 5:39 PM. With Haley safe from eviction, the math had to be redone on the fly — and it turned out the house didn't need much time to do it.

Nine to One, and the One Was Haley

The vote wasn't close. Haley cast the first vote — to evict Barrett — and then watched Melody, Angela, Kamu, Dee, Yash, Devens, Drew, Taylor, and Mallory line up one after another to evict Chuk. At 5:49 PM, Julie confirmed the 9–1 result and Chuk walked out the door.

That lone vote is worth sitting with. Haley didn't hedge, didn't vote with the house for cover, didn't pretend the week hadn't happened. She put her vote against Barrett on the record and let everyone see it. Whether that's defiance or strategy — or both — the rest of the evening suggested she's done pretending things are fine.

Chuk's Exit: A Handshake and Two Names

Chuk's exit interview came with receipts of its own. At 5:55 PM, he told Julie that LaTrice refused his attempted handshake before the Blockbuster, which is why he skipped the goodbye hug on his way out. At 5:58 PM, asked what he'd have done with power, he said he would have nominated LaTrice and Taylor.

Standard caveat: these are Chuk's accounts, delivered minutes after eviction. We don't have LaTrice's side of the handshake moment, and hypothetical nominations from an evicted houseguest are exactly that — hypothetical. But the LaTrice thread doesn't end with Chuk, as the feeds made clear within the hour.

Feeds Return: Relief for Barrett, a Reckoning for Angela

Feeds came back at 6:11 PM, and Barrett was in a reflective mood. He said the Blockbuster experience made him less fearful, and admitted he wouldn't have guessed a few weeks ago that Chuk would be the one leaving. Surviving a block stint next to the eventual evictee will do that for your outlook.

The bigger story started at 6:18 PM, when Angela pulled Haley into the Have-Not room. Angela's opening position: she hadn't flipped the earlier Lyric vote to hurt Haley, and she regretted yelling at her. Haley didn't let her off easy. She described being iced out and bullied all week, and confronted Angela over her language and what Haley saw as a failure to stand up for her.

It got emotional, and it got somewhere. Angela took responsibility for hurting Haley and promised she would never vote Haley out or nominate her. File that promise where all Big Brother promises go: it's real as a moment, binding as nothing. But as reconciliations go, this one looked more genuine than most — Angela offered accountability, not just damage control.

Haley's New Posture

Haley's side of the conversation was arguably the bigger development. She said she's done playing the nice girl. Her stated map of the house: she trusts Yash, wants to talk to Kamu, and will confront LaTrice herself if Angela won't. She also claimed Dee was the one telling others to go after Angela — an accusation that's Haley's alone at this point, but one that could reshuffle things if it spreads.

A houseguest who wins her way out of the eviction vote, casts a lone protest vote on live TV, and then starts naming names on the feeds is not moving like the houseguest who said she had been iced out all week.

The Pressure Moves to LaTrice

The fallout didn't stay contained. Around 7 PM, Taylor told Haley that LaTrice is now a target, and later told Angela that LaTrice was making people dislike her over how she treated Haley. Taylor also described feeling squeezed between personal relationships and game ones — the classic mid-season position, and rarely a comfortable one.

Then at 7:29 PM, Kamu sat down with Haley and offered his own version of the week: he believed she had been played around the Lyric vote, said Chuk had lied during the week, and later told her he'd wanted Chuk gone and Haley to stay. Again, that's Kamu's account — but paired with Taylor's read and Chuk's parting shots, the pattern is hard to miss. Between eviction and 7:45 PM, LaTrice's name kept returning in the most important game conversations, and almost never favorably.

Board Reset, HOH Pending

As of 7:45 PM, the HOH competition hadn't happened, so everything above is prologue. What we know: Haley is safe for the night, energized, and openly recalculating. Angela has made a promise she'll eventually have to keep or break. Barrett survived and says he's less afraid. And LaTrice is walking into an HOH night where several houseguests have spent the evening saying her name.

Whoever wins the next HOH inherits all of it. We'll be watching when they do.
